    KU’s Vice Chancellor emphasizes the necessity for capacity building and upskilling of artists.

    In order to offer a comprehensive exploration of vocal music and delve into diverse aspects of music education, ranging from ancient Gurukul systems to contemporary classroom practices, the Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA) at Kashmir University (KU) inaugurated a workshop on Monday. Participants, comprising faculty members, students, and experts, will partake in interactive sessions, discussions, and live performances throughout the three-day workshop, titled ‘Sangeet Sadhana: Unveiling the Melodic Universe.

    She remarked, “While we often get carried away by the thrill of music, it’s crucial to recognize the potential it holds. There are various career avenues to explore, such as music journalism, music therapy, and art education.” Dr. Kaur will assume the role of the resource person and trainer throughout the workshop duration.
