The education system in Kashmir needs to adapt to meet industry standards, emphasized by LG Sinha.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the Leadership Engagement program attended by Heads of Premier Institutions across the country.

The 5-day program aims to deliberate on various themes to achieve the objectives of developing effective academic leaders as outlined in the National Education Policy 2020.

The Lt Governor stressed the importance of academic institutions adopting best practices and setting new standards in technical education.

He remarked, “Today, predicting the future is challenging. While some regions grapple with geopolitical conflicts, technology is advancing rapidly. Over the past decade, India has experienced significant development under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. I am hopeful that India will spearhead the next major revolution.”

“We must seize this opportunity to chart a futuristic roadmap that drives reforms across diverse sectors and positions India as a knowledge economy. Restoring India’s former glory should be our primary objective,” he added.

The Lt Governor also underscored the need for interventions to align with industry requirements, emphasizing that the focus on the Science and Technology sector will be instrumental in realizing the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047.’

He further highlighted the transformation underway in the education sector in Jammu and Kashmir. The event was attended by Heads of IITs, IISERs, NITs, Vice-Chancellors of Central Universities, and other esteemed institutions.
