The University of Adelaide has maintained its standing among the world’s leading universities, according to the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject.
Fourteen subjects at the University of Adelaide have been recognized within the global top 100—a significant accomplishment, underscoring its status as one of the premier educational institutions both nationally and internationally.
Professor Peter Høj AC, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Adelaide, remarked, “For 150 years, the University of Adelaide has been at the forefront, consistently delivering excellence and making a tangible impact through our research, teaching, and innovations.”
The rankings, which analyzed the reputation and research output of nearly five thousand universities worldwide across 55 specific subject areas and five broad subject areas, highlight the University’s strengths.
The University of Adelaide has achieved top 100 placement globally in the following areas:

– Archaeology
– Classics
– Dentistry
– Earth Sciences
– Environmental Science

– Nursing

Professor Høj expressed satisfaction with the diverse array of exceptional subjects at the University, noting that Archaeology has newly entered the top 100 this year, while Life Sciences and Medicine emerged as particularly robust fields.
