Schools in Jammu and Kashmir have been directed to implement the E-Office mode.

The School Education Department in Jammu and Kashmir has mandated the adoption of the e-office mode, replacing physical tasks with electronic processes. The Administrative Secretary, Piyush Singla, has instructed all subordinate offices from the directorate to the CEO level to complete the transition by March 31. Additionally, zonal and cluster head levels are required to implement e-office mode by April 30. The circular emphasizes the need for an immediate shift from physical files and Daks to e-office mode in order to comply with the directives. Directors are urged to identify specific areas where a combination of physical and online modes may be necessary. The government and the General Administration Department had previously issued directives for all departments to transition to e-office mode, with support from the IT department, including VPN connections, the creation of jk.gov.in email IDs, and training for local administrators, among other measures.
