Orbo seals a Rs 1 crore deal with Vineeta Singh, as Aman Gupta exclaims, “Bro, your company has been saved.”

In a recent episode of ‘Shark Tank India’ Season 3, Orbo, a startup utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) in the cosmetics industry, secured a Rs 1 crore investment from Vineeta Singh, the CEO of Sugar Cosmetics.

This investment, in exchange for a one percent equity stake, highlights the growing impact of technology on transforming the beauty sector.

Orbo’s founders, Manoj Shinde, Danish Jamil, and Abhit Sinha, presented their company’s vision to the ‘Shark Tank India’ judges, showcasing how their AI and AR technologies could revolutionize the consumer experience in the cosmetics industry. They demonstrated solutions like Beauty GPT and Smart Beauty Mirror, aimed at providing personalized beauty consultations and enabling virtual product try-ons.

Established in 2019, Orbo has been a pioneer in integrating AI and AR to offer personalized beauty experiences. Their technology suite includes features for skin analysis, virtual makeup trials, and hairstyle and color simulation, designed to enhance the personalized and accessible selection of beauty products from home.

The investment from Vineeta Singh is not only a financial backing but also a strategic partnership that could benefit both parties. Singh’s interest in Orbo, based on previous discussions about integrating its technology into Sugar Cosmetics’ offerings, highlights the potential of AI and AR to improve online shopping experiences by making them more interactive and personalized.
