IIT Madras is hosting the All India Research Scholars’ Summit (AIRSS) 2024, which will run from today until March 7, 2024.
As per an official statement, the AIRSS 2024, organized by IIT Madras’s Research Affairs Council, unites researchers from various fields across India.
The primary objective of AIRSS 2024 is to explore recent advancements in research domains through oral presentations, poster sessions, and product/prototype showcases.
A panel discussion on ‘Research and Development: Catalysts for India’s Global Academic Standing’ included prominent figures like Dr. V Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras, and Dr. Govindan Rangarajan, Director of IISC Bangalore.
During the inaugural session, Union MoS Rajeev Chandrasekhar highlighted the upcoming Bharat Semiconductor Research Centre, expected to play a pivotal role in semiconductor research.
Prof. V. Kamakoti stressed the importance of cutting-edge research in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047, fostering collaborations among scholars.
The summit will feature plenary panel discussions by directors of various institutes and representatives from organizations like DRDO and VSSC. Additionally, cultural events such as music concerts and open mic sessions are planned.
