Aryans Group of Colleges, located in Rajpura near Chandigarh, and White Globe, in collaboration with the Government College of Education, Srinagar, convened the Lal Ded Excellence Awards ceremony. This event aimed to recognize women super achievers across various categories and was held at the Government College of Education & Institute of Advanced Studies in Education, Srinagar.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, the Chairman of Aryans Group, graced the event as the chief guest, alongside Prof. Seema Naz, Principal of GCOE, IASE, Srinagar, and Adv. Syed Junaid Sadaat, Chairman of White Globe, and Adv. Sheikh Saba, Trustee of White Globe, who were guests of honor. Dr. Kataria, in his address, extended congratulations to all the awardees, emphasizing that the Lal Ded Excellence Awards ceremony aimed to recognize the remarkable achievements of women from diverse fields and their significant contributions to society. He highlighted Aryans Group’s commitment to honoring and supporting women, noting their pivotal role in the nation’s development.
Dr. Seema Naz remarked, “The talent and capability of our women are unparalleled. Numerous women have achieved excellence in diverse domains, and we take immense pride in their accomplishments. Today, as we commemorate International Women’s Day, observed worldwide on March 8th, we are delighted to recognize women from various sectors. It’s truly overwhelming to honor their contributions.”
Adv. Syed Junaid Sadaat and Adv. Sheikh Saba highlighted that Lal Ded, also known as Lalleswari Devi or Lalla Arifa, is revered as the pioneer of Kashmiri literature. Her significant role in preserving and upholding the cultural legacy of the valley is widely acknowledged. Hence, the award ceremony is being conducted to honor her profound contribution to Kashmiri literature.
