A workshop addressing Currency Management in India was organized by the Department of Business Administration (DBA), Faculty of Management Studies and Research (FSMSR) at Aligarh Muslim University. The event featured presentations by Mr. Ajay Sisodia, Mr. Amandeep Singh, and Mr. Abhishek from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Kanpur, as the key speakers.
During the opening ceremony, Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, Vice Chancellor of AMU, highlighted the significance of RBI’s currency regulations and commended the central bank’s role in overseeing currency circulation in the nation. He expressed confidence that the workshop would enhance the understanding of currency management among students and faculty members.
Prof. Ayesha Farooq, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Research, stressed the importance of financial sustainability and currency security in maintaining a stable economic framework. Prof. Jamal Ahmad Farooquie, Chairman of DBA, discussed the evolving landscape of currency and the integration of online payment systems.
The resource persons, Mr. Amandeep Singh, Mr. Abhishek, and Mr. Ajay Sisodia, provided insights into the features of Indian currency and discussed measures employed for currency management, focusing on counterfeit prevention and note security. An interactive Q&A session facilitated valuable exchanges between the participants and the speakers.
Dr. Asif Akhter, Coordinator of the Workshop, highlighted the workshop’s contribution to participants’ understanding of currency management practices and note security measures, benefiting their academic and professional endeavors. He concluded the inaugural session and extended gratitude to all attendees.
The academic proceedings were led by Sadiya Naaz, a final-year MBA student.
