The eagerly awaited International Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology commenced with a prestigious inaugural ceremony on February 29, 2024. Hosted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Manipal, the event brought together leading researchers, scholars, and industry experts to delve into recent breakthroughs and practical implementations in the realm of nanotechnology.
The conference was inaugurated by Lt. Gen. Dr. M. D. Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), who emphasized the importance of leveraging the potential of Nano Science and Nanotechnology to address real-world challenges.
Dr. Narayan Sabhabit, Pro Vice Chancellor (Technical Sciences) at MAHE, extended a warm welcome to the attendees, while Dr. Sharath K Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor (Health Science), provided an overview of the conference. Dr. Shantikumar V Nair, Dean of Research at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and guest of honor for the conference, stressed the need for research to transition from publishing findings to pursuing practical applications or translational research.

Renowned researchers such as Dr. Weihua Li from the University of Wollongong, Australia; Dr. Navakantha Bhat from the Indian Institute of Science, India; Dr. C. V. Yelamaggad, Scientist at the Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences, India; Dr. Sergii Rudiuk from Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS), Paris; Dr. Amitava Mukherjee from VIT University, India; and Dr. R. S. Jayasree from the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical, India will deliver keynote addresses during the two-day conference.
Approximately 180 delegates are expected to participate in the conference, showcasing and presenting their research findings while collaborating and exchanging ideas with fellow delegates.
