MyCaptain, an edtech startup, secures Rs 14 crore in funding from IPV and other investors.

Edtech startup MyCaptain has raised Rs 14 crore (approximately $1.7 million) in a recent funding round, with participation from investors such as Inflection Point Ventures, MyNavi, Piper Serica, Super Capital, and Ankur Capital. This follows the startup’s pre-Series-A round in January 2022, where it secured $3 million led by Ankur Capital.

The newly acquired funds will be utilized to extend the reach of its hybrid programs to various cities, establishing more than four regional sales centers. Additionally, MyCaptain aims to enhance its course offerings by introducing more than 50 beginner courses and five placement readiness programs.

Co-founded by Mohammed Zeeshan, Sameer Ramesh, and Ruhan Naqash, MyCaptain enables students to learn directly from young professionals, explore new career options, and develop practical skills through more than 30 live cohort-based courses ranging from beginner to advanced levels.

The startup claims to have surpassed 20,000 enrollments across its courses and anticipates ending FY23-24 with Rs 31 crore in booking revenue. MyCaptain’s future goals include reaching 50,000 yearly enrollments and achieving Rs 100 crore in bookings by FY25-26.

The platform has successfully trained over 250,000 learners in various career paths such as content creation, design, visual arts, finance, and business, empowering them to pursue professions as entrepreneurs, writers, designers, filmmakers, financial analysts, and more.
