Nabhdrishti Aerospace secures pre-seed funding with IIMA Ventures taking the lead in the investment round.

Nabhdrishti Aerospace, a deep-tech startup, has secured Rs 3 crore in its pre-seed funding round with IIMA Ventures (formerly IIMA-CIIE) taking the lead.

The funding will be allocated towards the development of a fuel-flex combustor prototype, involving comprehensive testing on the fuel injector and combustor, as mentioned in a press release by the company. This initiative aims to showcase the proprietary fuel-flex technology.

Subsequently, the company plans to move forward with designs within the power range of 300 SHP to 1,000 SHP and beyond.

Established in 2023 by Rohit Chouhan and Arjun Srivatsa, Nabhdrishti Aerospace specializes in designing and developing gas turbine engines, starting with a 350 SHP turbo-prop engine tailored for aviation and power generation applications.

According to the company, their micro gas turbine (MGT) engines will be engineered and manufactured with fuel flexibility to support clean fuel compatibility and enhance operational efficiency.

The inaugural product, ND 350, will be a 275 KW Turbogenerator. This core, when integrated with a propeller, is claimed to deliver 350 SHP capable of powering UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) and hybrid electric VTOLs (vertical take-off and landing).

Earlier this month, Bengaluru-based aerospace components manufacturer JJG Aero secured $12 million in funding from CX Partners. Additionally, in January, Jeh Aerospace raised $2.75 million in a seed funding round led by General Catalyst.
